Holding Space for Yourself
Now is Your time, to get your time back. As if you ever lost it. My name is Chris Cattell, and within minutes of guiding a silenced creative nerd through self doubt, despair, or dread, the response is most often something like "I don't get to talk about this stuff with anybody, ever." Even the most sensitive therapist, fiercest performance coach, and the most precise business consultant, does not open you to the healing and leadership that are possible, from the Self. It must seem in conflict with their interests to hand you the keys to agency in your own healing experiment. This subtle belief that their (thoroughly researched) way will also work for you is baked into their body and follows through to their mindset and business. Even if your breath-work facilitator or mindset coach does point you toward self-discovery practice, which more and you may still hear conflicting messages: one about "slowing down," the next exclaiming"time is our most valuable asset."
To reconcile these prevalent notions, you need the technique beyond technique that doesn't require time in quite the same way.
The Five Levels of Mind

1. Daily Mind The level of mind from, by, and for which we have learned to know ourselves, most of the time. We have the sensation of attention which always contains subject-object awareness, interpreting a separation between observer and what is being observed.
2. Subtle Mind (Witness) is aware OF everyday mind, FROM the Witness, a sense of space or distance between you and experience is revealed.
3. (Spacious) Awake awareness the most sought after discovery of various wisdom traditions and called by many names. The source or foundation OUT OF which all things are MADE also the context IN which all things UNFOLD, and knows itself as the awareness TO which all things APPEAR.
4. Inter-being Knows both the ultimate and the relative levels of reality simultaneously. Both here, and nowhere formless awareness (nirvana in Buddhism) and our everyday experience of energy and matter (samsara) takes on one "taste,” or the quality of radiating as one essence.
5. Heart Mind We find ourselves aware from or through the heart, rather than thoughts,but this “mind” is happening all around and interconnected with other’s open-heartedness. It is ever present “prior” to, throughout, and in-between relationships and the universal community.
